It's been so long since I've made LJ userpics! I used to have them coming out of my ass on all my accounts. I made three new ones, all of HYDE!!!!!!, and I didn't do much to them except outlines because, well...YOU REALLY DON'T NEED TO ADD MUCH TO THAT KIND OF NATURAL YUMMINESS, DO YOU. I think I'll make more j-rock ones soon.

Other than that I have nothing useful to say, except a;adls;d'dlmwflalamewlk

So you're supposed to start writings off with some sort of attention grabber; a "hook" as they say. I'll start my entry with this really exciting line:

What I Did Today:

-Finally, FINALLY got past having a fever and went from feeling totally hideous to pretty crappy, for the first time in about a week, yay
-Downloaded and listened to a LOT of music (mostly thanks to last.fm, which everyone should join.
-Got into a really bad mood from being sick and having nothing to do, so I did what any normal person would do and randomly Google image searched Rufus Shinra.
-...Which led to me finding a sexomatic fangirl community about him on here, which led to me remembering that LJ exists, which led to me thinking maaaybe I should bother updating mine, because I really feel like babbling.

You know what sucked about being sick this week in particular? I was supposed to go with some friends to a bar/pool hall on Thursday for karaoke night, to watch my goddamn ex boyfriend and his friend perform. They're regulars there, or something, and I was unlucky enough to get noticed by them last time I was there, OH JOY YAY. But really, I was almost looking forward to the whole thing, I don't know why. :/ I was hoping they'd get really drunk and sing Hava Nagila again, I guess. Speaking of drunk, why did I give him my cell number!? I still can't get over that stupidity. Why didn't someone KILL ME first?

In other news, DIR EN GREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M PROBABLY DEFINITELY MOST LIKELY HOPEFULLY GOING TO SEE THEM LIVE THIS SUMMER (in Wisconsin, since some tours don't have the sense to come to Chicago). I can't believe they'll be with Korn, who was the last band I was all hyperventilating over seeing live. I never listen to them anymore. I still think Embryo is the sexiest song about an abortion ever. At work the other day, I was so excited that I wrote about it all over the dry-erase board and everyone was asking me who (really weirdly pronounced) Dir en grey was and what I meant by a Japanese invasion. I wanted to be really cool and mysterious about it so I said THEY'RE A JAPANESE BAND THAT I LIKE AND THEY'RE COMING HERE ON TOUR, IN YOUR FACE!

Soon my dorky dreams will be realized and Janne will tour here next (and Yasu will hug me and say "oh you are the best American fan ever because you bought half our CDs at high import prices even though you already downloaded all of our music"), and we will start having all sorts of integration with Japanese culture and hot Yakuza guys will roam the streets and our video games will start coming with posters and watches and and leatherbound cases and diamond rings and whatever half of those games come with. And in conclusion, I will rule the world with fear, not money.

So I posted on this community, animated_beauty because it seems like fun and I'm totally curious what character a bunch of random people on LJ think I'm like. So far the vote is mostly for Snow White, who is named the "innocent beauty" on there, which knowing myself seems off. I can see the resemblance with the love for animals though; I think that's where it's coming from. Fiana totally nailed the two characters I was thinking, for the same reasons, but she has the advantage of 14 years of knowing me. I wonder if looks factor a lot into what people are choosing, because I never consider myself looking like any beautiful characters. :p

I almost started working on a Kiss doll yesterday. That is huge for me, yo. I totally lost all the work I had on my self-portrait when my computer last crashed, so kahgkgdslkjghl damnit. I may start that over again anyway, since my clothes are so very different now. It scares me to do any art-related things though, simply because it's been so long since I've drawn, and I seriously think I've forgotten how. I feel like a giant clumsy orc trying to control the mouse.

I am so motivated to start saving money to get an apartment with Fiana. It would be teh ownzors, and really I think I just needed a major goal like that put in front of me to help me get started (as in, saving money instead of spend everything I earn). Now if only I can channel that motivation into some artwork, too.

Hmm. I got a haircut today. This is very important news, and let me tell you why. BECAUSE I NEVER GET HAIRCUTS, THAT'S WHY. Really I didn't have much done except a slight layering, and bangs again, and my hair now smells like fruity goodness! Not to be confused with the really sexual creamy goodness of this egg nog. Seriously, wow. I never knew the joys of the non-fat-free version of this stuff until recently. That's what I get from living with people who actually watch their weight, I'm exiled from the REAL version of everything and I never realized how wonderful it all is. *sniff*

I really want this job at Best Friends pet motel, but they haven't called back and I have a feeling they were looking for positions that require experience or schooling that I don't have (like dog groomers). Still, having all the in progress animal-related school, 10+ years of pet experience, and volunteering/workng at an animal shelter should count for something. I mean I practically have animals coming out of my ass. NO COMMENT ON THAT METAPHOR, THANK YOU.

Japanese class (andamericanidolshutupilikeit) starts in January. I'm excited as hell. :D I hope I make some friends with similar interests there so I'm not constantly bored and lonely.
